Athenian reformer called "Father of Athenian Democracy". Reformed Athens constitution in 508/507 BC, establishing democratic institutions. Increased power of citizens assembly, reduced nobility control. Created system of 10 tribes replacing 4 traditional ones, implemented ostracism as check on tyranny. Reforms endured for 200+ years.
