Born Giuliano della Rovere, nicknamed Warrior Pope. One of most powerful and influential popes of High Renaissance. Commissioned Sistine Chapel ceiling from Michelangelo (1508), Raphael Rooms, and St Peters Basilica from Bramante. Close friendship with Michelangelo.
